SACRED HEART OF JESUS HOLY NAME OF JESUS SOCIETY

President – Donald H. Monheim
Vice-President – Patrick J. English
Secretary/Treasurer – Dennis A. Kessler
Sargeant-at-Arms – Robert(Bobby) Saxer

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Holy Name Society normally meets every month on the Second Tuesday at 7:30PM in the Parish Center.  The meeting is preceded by the Holy Name Litany and Rosary beginning at 7:00PM.

NOTICE!!

Due to the increased area positivity rate of the COVID-19 virus, Monthly Meetings once again will cease in 2021 until a better comfort level is attained in reducing or eliminating the infection concerns by our members and parishioners.

There is also a Home Name Society Mass at 8:30AM scheduled every month on the Second Sunday. All members (and their families) are welcome to attend this Mass should the current conditions allow.

All men in the Parish are always welcome to attend our meetings to see what we are about and to join us our Holy Name Society Monthly Mass.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Holy Name Society promotes the honor and glory of our Divine God and the personal sanctification of the members by acts of love and devotion to the most Holy Name of Jesus.  The spirited life of its members is a perpetual act of reverence and love.
Our members perform the Corporal Works of Mercy; to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give drink to the thirsty, shelter to the homeless, tend the sick, visit those in prison and bury the dead.  As well as the spiritual Works of Mercy to convert sinners, instruct the ignorant, counsel the wayward, comfort the sorrowing, bear adversity patiently, forgive offenses and pray for the living and dead on a Parochial, Diocesan and National Level.
The Holy Name Society promotes the respect for the Most Holy Name of God, Faith in the Catholic Church and the Magisterium, loyalty to one’s country and respect for all lawful authority, both civil and religious.

The Holy Name of Jesus Society Bottle and Can Drive was cancelled for early June 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The decision as to whether a Fall 2020 Drive will be held will be made at a future time.. Thank you for all of your past donated bottles and cans!  Should you have accumulated bottles and cans in anticipation of this Spring’s drive, please consider taking them to a local bottle and can redemption center and donating the proceeds to the parish finances to help compensate for the recent lost revenues due to the crises.
