The all new Sacred Heart Faith Formation begins this school year! Like many other parishes in the Diocese we will be changing to a ‘Family-based’ program. Grades 1st-3rd and 4th-5th will meet one Sunday a month at 9:30 am to 10:45 am in a classroom in the Parish Center. Each student will be accompanied by at least one parent or adult family member. The entire family is always welcome to attend. Each monthly lesson will be followed with 3 at home family lessons. Lessons will be available on our website beginning September 15th. Sacramental preparation will be separate classes in the Spring. Our Junior High students, grades 6th – 8th, will participate in the Edge program with students from The Nativity of the BVM Parish. This is a dynamic and enriching program that has had great success nationwide. Some of the sessions will be held here at Sacred Heart. The Edge classes are scheduled for Tuesday evenings from 7 pm – 8:30 pm and parents will receive a calendar at their meeting. If you are interested in learning more about Edge please visit, https://lifeteen.com/edge-ministry/ The 9th and 10th grade will have Fr. Dom as their catechist! They will meet along with CYO members two Sundays a month, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the Parish cafeteria. All of their service hours will be completed as part of their participation with CYO. Along with Fr. Dom our parish is blessed with two dynamic young adults who have stepped forward as leaders of our CYO; David Chriswell and Liz Kershaw. Please pray for our students, their families, our Faith Formation catechists, leaders and Fr. Dom as we begin this new adventure.
